Trump Says Iran Agreed to No Nuclear Weapons as Talks Continue

‎Donald Trump has reiterated that Iran must permanently abandon its pursuit of nuclear weapons, claiming that Tehran has already agreed to such terms. He stressed that this condition is central to halting ongoing US military operations.
As US-Iran negotiations approach, Trump insists Tehran must give up nuclear materials while the Pentagon prepares troop deployment for potential conflict escalation.

‎Despite these assertions, Iranian authorities have not publicly acknowledged any agreement and have rejected claims of direct talks with Washington.
‎The comments come at a time when both countries are preparing for renewed negotiations aimed at securing a ceasefire. Simultaneously, contingency plans for a large-scale military operation are being put in place in case discussions break down.
‎Trump indicated that dialogue is taking place with influential figures, suggesting that Iran is highly motivated to finalize a deal. He described their approach as rational, expressing optimism about the direction of the talks.
‎He further emphasized that any agreement would require Iran to relinquish all nuclear-related materials. Speaking to reporters, he specifically mentioned the need to take control of enriched uranium, referring to it as “nuclear dust.”
‎On the military front, preparations are advancing. A source familiar with the situation revealed that thousands of troops from the 82nd Infantry Division are expected to be deployed to the Middle East.
‎According to earlier reports, the Pentagon plans to announce the deployment of a brigade combat team consisting of around 3,000 soldiers from the elite North Carolina unit, supporting joint US-Israel efforts.
‎The 82nd Airborne Division is widely recognized for its rapid response capabilities, capable of deploying forces within hours—18 hours for a battalion and up to 72 hours for a full brigade.
‎Historically, Iran had agreed during negotiations with Western nations not to develop nuclear weapons. However, it continued enriching uranium to levels approaching those required for weaponization.
‎Trump also pointed to a previous operation, stating that Operation Midnight Hammer had destroyed Iran’s nuclear program. He noted that recent military actions were aimed at preventing any resurgence.
‎In addition to nuclear concerns, US objectives include dismantling Iran’s missile capabilities to limit threats against Israel and other regional allies.
