Four Toddlers Brutally Stabbed to Death, 39-Year-Old Suspect Arrested
On Thursday, April 2, the Uganda Police Force reported responding at about 11:00 a.m. local time to a distress call involving a stabbing incident at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program in Kampala.
Four toddlers were killed in a stabbing at a Kampala daycare in Uganda. Police arrested a 39-year-old suspect as investigations into the motive continue.

A 39-year-old man, identified as Okello Christopher Onyum, was arrested at the scene shortly after the incident. Authorities confirmed that four toddlers had lost their lives.
The victims were identified as Eteku Gideon, 2; Ryan Odeke, 2; Ignatius Sserwange, 3; and Kaise Alungat, 3. Officials stated that all four children were enrolled at the same daycare facility.
According to police, the suspect is currently being questioned as investigators work to determine his motive, background, and other circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities also shared an image of the suspect in handcuffs as part of their update.
Police expressed condolences to the affected families and assured the public that a full investigation is underway, with justice for the victims as a priority.
Reports also indicated that parents attempted to confront the suspect before police arrived at the scene. It was further stated that the man had previously inquired about enrolling a child at the school and was instructed to return on Thursday. After paying for admission, he allegedly carried out the attack.
Following the incident, 10 other children present at the facility were safely returned to their parents.
